I just wanted to let you know that I received the replacement power supply that Jared sent me, yesterday. It must have been the problem because both my wife and I said that the TV picture has not looked this clear and sharp in a long time. I think that the old power supply has been having problems for quite some time. I want to thank you, again, for contacting Jared and helping us to fix this problem. When I can, I am going to check out your website and see if there is anything else that I can use, if so I will contact you.

My wife and I put the unit in over the weekend. We took plenty of pictures of the guts and I had an idea of where I wanted things to go. I knocked out all the holes I needed in the new unit, set it on a bench beside the old and just moved item by item. Once I had everything where I wanted it to go I just removed the old box and pushed, shoved the new box into place. My wife helped me and we pulled all the cables we were not using up to the very top yet able to stay in the new box. We attached two surge protectors although we have a whole house surge at the junction box coming into the house. We had to take a rubber mallet and pound the thing in since it was a very tight fit. I attached the extension ring which worked for holding one of the surge protectors. The only problem I had was that the holes to the door and the extension ring did not fit exactly, but I drilled them out and it fits fine.
Except for the pulling the wires up into the attic I was able to accomplishes everything by me. As you can see by the pictures it looks great. I had our cable provider come out and recheck all the fittings and Ethernet and he had been here before and he was impressed by the unit and thought that I did a nice job and that he really did not need to even come out. Not bad for a 62 year old fart thinking he is still 30. Nice equipment, exactly what I was looking for and the price were below what I thought that I was going to spend. You treated me very well and I appreciate the service. My wife is a very happy camper and this is what I wanted in the house when we built it, but the builder said I would never need anything any bigger. I should of insisted on a unit like this or two.
Thanks again. The one wire you see coming out to the left is going to be rerouted through the attic Friday when the CCTV guys finish with the cameras to the DVR.

I just got of the phone with Thomas.
He gave me outstanding customer support.
I was just about to order a Channel Vision Splitter but he told me this did not sound right for me.
I will follow his instructions and try to isolate my problem.
He did ask if I had another TV hooked up to cable but I foregot about the little cheap TV in my Wife's room and I do have cable going to my computer.

Evidently after speaking with me,he called someone from Channel Vision to speak about my problem some more.
If this is not outstanding support,I really do not know what is.
He even told me why the product I thought I needed would not help me.
and if that is not enough,all this is regarding something as "simple" as a splitter.
Please make sure his supervisor sees this.

The abus system is really a neat product. Our builder is using this system in some of his homes, and that's how I found out about abus. I can't wait to get the system so I can start installing!

Hi Tom, The system you set me up with is awesome! It does exactly what I wanted to do. I have not set the camera up in the engine room yet--low priority, but the camera looking back is perfect.One question though. Will the power from an inverter harm the camera or switching box in any way? The inverter instructions say a modified sine wave CAN harm small charging circuits/power supplies. Also, the camera is 12V, can I bypass the transformer (120--12V) and hook it into the boat 12V system?Thanks again, I am really pleased! Jack
